Fish Crazy

So in the area that I live in, insects come into our houses during summer due to the heat. We decided to buy cans of smoke which will kill insects on contact. The house will be closed for 3 hours. What will happen to the fish? My friend suggested to take it to the first floor and put the fish in the aquarium downstairs. My tank is a 10 gallon and it would be very difficult to move it downstairs. Won't the smoke kill my fish if I leave them in there? Any suggestions appreciated. I also have a 2.5 gallon tank and I'm thinking of putting them in there and leaving them downstairs in the hallway for the 3-5 hours. Won't it stress them? By the way, the tank has a filter.
