My 60 litre is fully stocked, I heard shrimp don't add much to the bio load so is it ok to add 10 shrimp?

I have platy, cardinal tetra, killifish the peacful kind, apple snail, pitbull plec and a female betta. The betta was my concern but she doesn't ever attack anything in there so far.

I'm not an expert on the things most likely to eat shrimp (I see KK here, maybe she'll know!) I know they present an extremely light bioload, so it's often ok to give them a try without it disturbing anything important.

Thanks yeah the betta may but she is pretty good so far with everything else in there.

waterdrop! Haven't seen you around in a while ;)

It does depend on the individual Betta..

If it's a dwarf shrimp, the Betta may pose a problem but any of the larger varieties such as Amano, Ghost, Pearl, Bamboo, even Red Rhino will be okay for your tank. My Betta doesn't pay them any mind at all.

better to add a "couple" more of the existing schooling fish than fill it with a bazillion shrimp imo.
