Hi everyone,

I recently required a Fully automated co2 set-up from doctors foster smith and i'm having trouble getting the co2 to work correctly. It came with an Azoo regulator and wonderful instuctions in Chinese so i can't find out exactly how to work it correctly. I've got it hooked the co2 tank the bubble counter is connected to the regulator by a tube. (it's not hooked to the Regulator, it's by itself ) The other nozzle is hooked to a co2 reactor. The Co2 reactor is connected to a pump, and the bottom of the reactor is connected to a return spout. If you look at the pictures, i'm assuming the needle valve is located on the bottom of the regulator. When i start to open the co2 tank, the dial on the left of the regulator starts to go up. Even if I stop opening the co2 tank it still continues to go up. I've fiddeled with the (needle valve) but I can't get the co2 regulated and the dial on the right to hold any pressure. Then it starts to shoot co2 out of the connection between the regulator and co2 tank. Any one have any knowledge of Azoo regulators and co2 reactors? I had a milawakee regulator but it broke and i'm not familiar with this new one. I can give you any info you need as long as you don't need the info that's in chinese. Here's some piccies I can get more to. Thanks in advance. =)

is the bubble counter coming off of the needle valve on the regulator.. maybe try it without all the gadgets first...
can you get co2 to come out of that needle valve once its on the tank?
looks like all you need to do is connect to the bottle run the co2 line off the needle valve to a diffuser and thats it.oh like i read on the other board..your not using both washers in there are you?

Thanks for the post danski and for your suggestions.

I redid everything perfectly from the instructions now i'm down to one problem. I've got the azopo regulator connected to my co2 tank. (one washer) but when I open the co2 tank the co2 air just shoots out of the regulator at the connection part. I've tried tightening it, redoing it, a diffrent washer. No luck. Do you have a azoo regulator? If you do whats the things at the bottom is that the needle valve?

The Ph controller seems to be working fine to. I'm completely new to that, any one have any experiance with one of those?

Thanks again!

no i dont have an azoo regulater but from the looks of it yes that brass screw is the needle valve..is it open? because if you open the valve on the tank and the regulator has no where for the co2 to go it may be blowing off for safety..if everything is connected to the tank right and it still doesnt work you may have a bad regulator..tighen it back on the tank securely open the needle valve some then open the tank valve..see if that has any effect..also is there power to your regulator?

Okay we got it figured out, the plastic washer that came with it was sealing right. i tried screwing it on as tight as possible and in the end I finally just had to go get some soft rubber washers. Woooh, that was alot of work. Thanks for replying and helping me try all my options danski, I appreciate it ! :good:

good to hear..one thing. let your tank get to room temp when replacing it or dont touch the needle valve if things seem to flow less than before because most tanks are stored outdoors in the cold so it will flow slower till hitting room temp. lots of people have cranked up the co2 after a new tank and when the tank stabilized it let so much co2 into the tank it killed off their fish..dont freak out by reading this just be cautious..if your tank is warm you should have no problems..dan
