Fry!

so yesterday we had 32 fry, today its anyones guess. we have spotted newbies that are half the size of the 10 day old ones



you'll see a yellow blur (fast moving 10day old fry) in lower part of photo, and one day old fry amongst the plant at the top half of photo,x

that is really cute. i have 6 day old guppy fry myself about 9 of them atm. Your tank looks well setup got a full shot of it?

It looks like your older guppy fry are coming along nicely LilyRose Tank. Congratulations on a job well done bringing them along like that. It is as easy as can be to have a livebearer fry drop happen, the real accomplishment comes with having the fry survive and proper.

thanks OM47. they are Platys not guppys. (sorry) did a recount,and now there are 54! put them all in a hatchery as I found out i was overfeeding the adults and as they are hungry, they think babies are lunch....not on my watch!! so now they are safe scoffing liquifry2. They are so cute, but it looks like a few 10day old ones have been eaten. oh well.

i do move the plants around whenever i do a big clean, but it mainly stays like this...I add stones when there are fry for them to hide....but now they are in the hatchery. I have added more plants too

The coloring on the fry led me to believe that the fry were guppies. You are doing fine either way in having nice looking survivors to care for. Nice going in either case LilyRose tank.

There's plenty of hidey holes for fry

I try not to use liquidfry now,it can mess the water quality up quite quickly if you use to much,i just feed my fry from day one on finely crushed flakes(tetramin baby) and defrosted brine shrimp
