Fry!

Yey! I have new fry, 12 little babies all like their mother with orange heads & grey stripy tails. I wasn't expecting her to give birth because one of the other females is twice the size of her. Argh, she'll probably have double. Strangely noone's eating them (there are 7 adults) I was expecting a feast like last time but they're all swimming around completely fearless. They're so cute!

i have about like 5-9 fry right now in a breeding net... either when i put them in the net they stopped havingbabies or just something else maybe their being eaten.... i thought guppies have like 30??

They can have 30 but you also have to inlcude that maybe some of the fry were eaten/sucked up the filter and thats how you only find 10 or so. I used to use breeder nets but my fry would swim throguht it and then get eaten .Also I've had some of my younger females have smaller batches of fry(say 15 or 20) prob because they're not ready/developed enough for 30 fry

Yes they are cute!! But mine are gorwing SOOO fast (especially now that they are in their own 10gall tank)
