Fry Tank

can a guppy fry tank be uncovered or does it need some sort of led?

Well I use a hood for light but other than that it serves no other purpose.

Yes I mean Lid, are they necessary and a guppy fry tank or will the fry be ok with an open top.

They'll be okay, but you need to be careful nothing gets in there, like pets or objects or anything. It's safer to have a lid too, just in case of jumping (It IS possible! ) and such.

Why would you not want a lid?

It's because my mom said I am only allowed to set up the 10 gallon to raise the babies in but I am not allowed to spend any money and I have everything I need except a lid and I am not allowed to buy one that's why I asked. Right now I have plastic wrap stretched over it is that good?

HA HA HA, I had to go through the same exact thing you do now a while back. Fun experience plastic wrap is

Yes well my friend who had a lizard in a 10gallon is giving me his wire top so that will make the plastic wrap a little easier to stetch over. Any ideas of how to cut that in case i need to.

(dont worry the lizard is in a 29 gallon now)
