I have been using my own 'custom made' LOL filter for my fry tank and thought that I would share here as it has been working beautifully. I took a small power head and the toe portion of a pair of heavy nylons (tights) and filled the tights with a handful of gravel from the parent tank (where they were born). I then placed the gravel filled nylons over the intake to the power head and secured with a rubber band. This allows the water to filter through the nylons AND the gravel (kind of like a sponge filter) and also cuts down the output of the power head so that my fry aren't blown around too much.. It seems to work great, my fry are growing larger by the day and the water tests great. It even sucks up all the unsightly fry poo from the bottom of the tank. I take out the power head and rinse the exterior of the tights daily.

[Edit] I forgot to mention that I lay the power head such that the output is aimed toward the top of the water breaking the surface and therefore aerating the water as well.
