I'm really slap happy, and for some reason, a topic like this cought my eye and I decided to add my on little happiness to the pile!

So here I am...

So this topic isn't completely useless, as soon as I get my 55G up and stocked, one of my 10Gs are going to become a live beaer tank
3 Sword Tails
3 Platies....

So there....

Don't you think that's going to be a little much? I mean, if you do inch per gallon....

3 Swords = 9" (Not counting the Swords)
3 Platies = 6"

Sooo...that's 15" right there.

So, I'd pick one or the other. I personally would give the Swords more room, since they get bigger, and the males have the Swords, and just stick with the Platies. Then maybe add a few other small fish, like Cories, or a small Gourami. :)

If you want lots of colorful fish that are livebearers, why not give guppies a try? They ARE called millions fish after all, and if you go for a smaller variety (like deltas, they're my FAVORITE) you can have more in the 10 gallon tank, because mine have never gotten over an inch.

I agree with Anastasia to many live bearers will cause you havoc... Oh and orkybetta i got a betta just like your male him and my female have just given off there 4th bunch of babies...
