Erm, how long's a piece of string

I've noticed with my fry, that the black shades start to come in after about 2 weeks, then after about 3 to 4 weeks the yellows start coming in. Over time these shades may or may not darken into warmer and warmer shades of orange and red.

What colour are their parents? If they are 4 weeks old with no colour, then their final colouring may be more on the subtle side. You might get light yellows, oranges or pinks - or your guppies could just be late developers. The maturation of guppy fry can be dramatically effected by the water temperature. Higher temeratures will make your guppies mature much faster, but at permanently high temperatures they won't live as long.

Erm, I'm not really sure about fully grown. I haven't been keeping guppies long enough to answer that question :*) Some of my guppies seem to still be growing at 7, 8 months old. They would be classed as adult fish at around 4 to 5 months, but some of the male fish can mature earlier than this.

At about 1 week old a guppy might be about 7mm long and a 10 week old guppy might be about 25mm long, but this can alter wildly either side.

I'm sure other people's answers will be different to mine, but I hope this helps a little

My guppies took 3 months to colour up,but they are reds.

Guppies will grow throughout their live till they die,but the growth is much faster during the "growing period".
