A nice looking drop of mollies you have ther3e cabbage.

  really? oh   i wondered why a lot of them were black! so why have a lot of them got orange heads? god are they really mollies? thought molly fry would be bigger?

was just about to post that i have another platy here ready to drop tonight i think!

ETA - just loked at pics of molly fry and platy fry, and they are quite a lot different arent they   ooopsy!! I guess my LFS would take them then eh?

they look like gold dust molly fry. I currently have 2 that are about 4 months old and I have 1 left that is about a month old with similar color patterns.

They are as I said the first time, molly fry. As you have observed, it is easy to tell a molly from a platy even on the first day. The shape of the fry's body is distinctly different. Why are you focused on platy fry? They are harder to grow big than mollies and can be a bit aggressive with their siblings, something I have not seen in my mollies. This is my own fish and you may understand why I knew immediately they were mollies. These guys were only a few hours old when I took their birthday picture.

oh im not obsessed with platys, just i have 3 maybe 4 that are pregnant at the moment, and im waiting for them to drop! i thought that the molly was just a bit fat, but she wasnt

i think theyre really cute :D your pics are great - i'll be taking pics loads of mine as they grow. only had 2 losses so thats good. hope it stays that way!

Hey guys, how did you get such a clear picture of the fry? I tried to take pictures of my Red Parrot/Jack Dempsey fry, and the pictures were blurred.

erm, the camera did it  nothing special, the camera has an intelligent auto function, so i just used that. ive tried to take some pics recently but no chance, theyre way too fast now!

I try not to get too close when taking a picture. If you step back a couple of feet, shoot from a bit of an angle to avoid reflections and use the zoom to bring the subject back in, you get better pictures than trying to get close and focus.
