Can i keep my fry in an unfiltered unheated bowl?

ThAnKs!

No, Fry should be idealy be kept in atleast a 10 gal with a few plants, heater, sponge filter and no gravel.

How many fry are we talking about? I've kept a few fry in a 1 gallon filtered tank, but I don't think an unfiltered bowl would work at all.

Mogurako... i gotta question...

how do you keep plants in the tank if you dont have gravel/sand to plant them in? do you meant weighted silk plants? is this for hiding places... i mean... why do they even need the plants then? what about some decor with hiding spaces? ( trying to learn more... sorry about all the interrogation...lol)

NO unless you live in the tropics like me!!IN unheated tanks,The fish will grow slowly .If you heat it,they will mature faster.Cold water may also kill them.Unfiltered is okay ,but only if you change the water like a qauter daily.Plants are good, try duckweed, they are excellent water purifiers but make sure you add a pump as they can clog up th ewater surface and suffocate the fishes

You can use silks but i find for fry tanks live are best. You can put the plants in lil clay flower pots with substrate in it. I find live the most beneficial because the fry like to nibble on it. yes and the plants are for hiding and to make the fry feel more secure, I mean a 10 gallon tank must seem like an ocean to a lil fry.
