Any suggestions what to keep my fry in when they are born (inside the tank) I tried to divided the tank but to hard to do, any can't find any ready made ones which will fit the tank, so what can I keep them in anyways?
sounds silly - - but i used to go out and by a 4 - 6 " base tall vase (like for flowers), put it in my tank, and scoop the fry in there with the parents in the main part of the tank - - I found it kept the temperature stable, was easy to do water changes on, stuck an airline tube in the bottom, sucked on it to get the flow going, and used it to suck up debris while making sure i didnt suck up any fry, then adding a bit of the water from the main tank in
this also let me keep the parents constantly used to seeing fry - -and i found that more and more fry were surviving the surprised drops because the parents were so used to seeing them, they didn't eat as much of the newborns!
