They are good :) they have started to swim on their own and I started putting some newly hatche brine shrimp in, some are eating it but most of the fry are still eating off the parents. Also my separate tank is being filled up with two discus I got today (I was at my lfs getting some beef heart, blood worm and discus feed and I couldn't leave his two discus as they were being treated horribly he clearly didn't know how to look after them when I asked how much he wanted he asked for a ridiculous price (there goes my whole weeks wages) and he went to get them for him with his hands I stopped him and told him I would get them with the net) so my question is how long before I should remove the fry because I need to make sure the two discus aren't diseased and would like to keep them seperated for as long a possible. Thanks for your help :)!

oooh ouch, its risky but you might just be able to not remove them, sounds like an extremely bad shop :( poor fish. u could get a reeallly small cheap tank to put the fry in at 15 days, or take a risk, personally i wouldnt risk anything but if its a last resort, go 4 it

I have another tank it's only a 50l will it do for the fry? Just until I can put the other discus into my main tank?

I would personally use nothing under a 25 gallon unless it is just for a few days. Because the smaller the water volume the harder it is to keep the water quality good for the fry. And if you think adult discus are finaky the fry are 100 times worse lol. But it sounds like you are doin a good job. Just keep up the good work and if these fry die you are bound to have more :good: .

They all died. When I put the two new discus in they ate all the fry. I was so disappointed.

You will have to set up a breeding tank. I would recommend a 40 gallon breeder. But nothing less than 30 gallons. Sad to hear the bad news.
