Well I'm down too my last fry they are about 2 months old I think most died do too .....They are about 2 months old and only a lil less than 1/2 inch !!! something is wrong ...The two are in a ten gallon all alone and yet shouldn't they be bigger ???? ( sailfin mollies)

Geesh!!! i have platties from my 10 gallon that are bigger than a half inch in 3 weeks. that's actually the best batch of fri that i've had. what i started doing differently was put LOTS of live plants in the tank so that they have some natural food and then i fed them a combination of flakes and brine shrimp. if you're raising live fri, brine shrimp seem to be a super source of food and they're not that difficult to raise. i'd give that a try. Good luck.

Some fish might not grow as fast. Just make sure that you vary their diet and feed small amounts multiple times a day.

What are/ were your water parameters?

For most species, fty grows the best by doing the following two things:

1. Feed little, very frequently with variety. Food should be rich in protein (for most species). If you can hatch baby brine shrimps, this works wonders for just about all fry.
2. Water change as frequently as you can.

I feed 5 times a day (BBS, NLS pelletes, OSI flakes, Hikari Daphnia) for my 13 P Acei fry, and do 50% WC every two days. At 60 days, they now hit 1.5 inches. I don't think I can keep this rate up (especially feeding 5 times per day part... ) but I am in the middle of some experiment and the result certainly looks promising! This 10g tank is driven by Aqua Clear Mini and Penguin 125. That's over 22x turnover rate!

Also, out of same batch of platy fry (2 months old), one tank has hit just over 1 inch in length, while the other one is still below 2/3 inch. Again, the main differences are feeding frequency and total water change volume per week.

If you want the fastest possible growth, get a 10g (or 5.5g if smaller species), put tonnes of filtration, feed frequently, and water change like crazy!

Well ph: about 7.5 they had bbs for about 4 weeks and then I switched too slakes small pieces of blood worms .... And yet these littleguys can also eat ADULT FRONE BRING SHIMP!! it's like they eat more and yet they don't grow !

My molly fry were very slow growing but I don't know if thats typical. Guppy and play fry grow very fast but some species are slower then others. Especially if their tank wasn't precycled.
