Fry + Filter = D:

So my baby fry have their own five gallon tank because only two of them made it and they are so tiny. I put the filter on so that the water is clean but I'm afraid that it's too strong and they will get sucked in. Should I shut it off? Until they are bigger at least?

Yes, I was talking about this earlier in the week and was encouraged on here to get a sponge headed thingy. Your fry will definately be gone by morning!

Cut a pair of clean tights. Then place over filter outlet with a rubber band.
Or a small holed net, with a rubber over outlet flow.

A sponge ffilter pad works great too. The aquaclear ones work outstanding. cut a hole in it, fit it over the intake, and secure with a rubber band. I havent lost any fry using this method.

Okay. Until I can get a sponge thingy (which I can't get noe because nothing will be open) should I leave the filter on or off?

Okay. I'm going to leave the filter off just for a night brcausr ot is five gallons abd they won't run out of air in just one night and I don't want then getting sucked in in their sleep. I'll buy a net with small holes to pit over it tomorrow and tell you all how everything goes. Thanks!

I've used, netting, sponges to stop fish getting sucked in.
Make sure you secure the rubber band tightly, as the net can blow off if not banded tightly.
