Well my convicts first spawn was very successful the fry have their colors and the parents are still caring for them, my question is - When fry get their colors while their young, does it change as they age?

All of the fry are normal black cons, will fish change?

Thanks, do you think they would carry the pink gene?

The pink gene is recessive. I think if you breed them with another pink con, you'll get some pink cons, and if you breed it with another con with a pink gene, you'll very very few. but none of them in that batch should be pink unless your black con has a little pink somewhere in it.

Another question, my cons have another lot of fry, their real tiny, but they havent ate the first batch yet?
Will they eat it?
Their still caring for it and keeping it safe, any ideas?
