lol ... I bought a female a couple days ago as a spawn mate for my splendens's... I have no idea why the store I went to even had plakats, let alone female plakats, it wasn't even an LFS, but I just realized it was a plakat yesterday.

Its called a chimney cuz they're often used as the chimney in those old style kerosene lamps. There's some pictures of kerosene lamps here if you scroll to the bottom of the page. The tall glass cylinders are teh chimneys.
