Frustrated With The Water

Hi guys,

I am becoming really annoyed about the water colour, I have a planted tank with 2 large pieces of bog wood which has been fully soaked because I brought it straight out from the tank at my LFS. Is there anything that I am doing wrong, all my parameters are good! Its really unusual!

Any ideas, I have tried carbon filter media but that hasn't changed a bit,

When I first added bogwood I soaked it in a bucket for up to 2 weeks.

I expect it's the colouring of the bogwood. Just do some water changes it should beocme clearer eventually.

Hey, I remember you asked about that one a long time ago, so know you are frustrated..

Colin may have some good advice once you answer him about the color.

I have an idea - if you really want to keep the bogwood and time and water changes don't seem to be fixing it, maybe you should consider dedicating a whole additional filter that is just filled with carbon (with maybe one sponge in front.) Probably you won't want to do this be just thought I would jot down my "stream-of-conciousness" thought.
