Frozen Foods By Post

Hi All,

I have found an online company that sells frozen blood worms at about half the price of my lfs.

They have a next day delivery service. But according to them, the packs may thaw a bit even though they pack it in suitable packaging that keeps it cold. They say it is fine to refreeze it as soon as you receive the package and this isn't a problem for the fish.

Are they correct?
Has anyone experience of online/next day frozen food delivery?

This is just my opinion but I wouldn't feed my fish something that had been thawed and re-frozen again. It just goes against safe food handling practices. Some companies will tell you things just to get your money. I always air on the side of caution with those things though...

I know a few folks who have worked in supermarkets and from experience they tell me that food sits for hours in warehouses before it gets into freezers on the shop floor and think how many times that happened before that time.
In my eyes its not all that bad, ideally, try not to but I doubt it would do any real harm.
