Frozen Bloodworms

absolutely not. they should be fed once or twice a week only as a treat, as they are not that nutritious and have a lot of protein.

I feed our fish frozen bloodworm every day along with something else in the morning when I wake. You do have to be careful though b/c it can bind up your fish.
I vary their diet some though and skip feedings in the morning every other day for 1 or 2 days just to let their little systems clear out a bit.

Just wondering...is it safe to feed your fish frozen bloodworms on a daily basis ?
depends on the number of fish you have. also on the amount you feed. but a small amount once a day, providing you use sense on portion control, should cause no problems. imo

interestingly, all inverts, fed to fish, share, roughly the same nutritional profile, though lave tend to have more fat, it is perhaps not as high as you may think. if you have omni or carnivorous fish, depriving them of protein is probably not the best way to treat them  of all the inverts fed to fish, only one would worry me, and then only if it was to make up ta large part of a critters diet, that is tubifex worm. whilst similar to all the rest, it has a, comparatively , high copper content. it is 10 times the level of black worm, 4 times the level of blood worm and three times that of water flea.

Also it depends what fish you have, all fish have different dietary requirements and should be fed accordingly. If you have herbivorous fish or omnivores that do better on a mainly vegetable based diet then regular feedings of bloodworm are not the best idea but if your fish are carnivores or omnivores that feed mainly on small benthic animals then as Bobo said not feeding them enough protein is not going to be good for them.

There is a whole range of frozen food at your LFS these days. I have 12 packets in my freezer, and feed a cube of four different types per day, along with a dozen types of flake and tablet food, plus live food as a treat. This gives variety, which not only makes life more interesting, but has different nutritional ingredients – hopefully providing a balanced diet.

I've been feeding 1 of my larger tanks a mixture of flake/pellet/veggie discs...and while they are eating I toss in a cube of bloodworms in the cave where my Elephant Nose stays...from what I have read...this is what they should be feed everyday...some of the other fish get a few bloodworms though...does this sound like a good practice/routine in your opinions ?

Thanks for all the advice btw.

sounds fine to me, as long as you keep an eye on the portions.
