From Gold Fish Tank To Planted Tank What Do I Do

this is my gold fish tank now that my nano is doing so well i think its time to tackle this tank, problem is gold fish will eat plants and i dont wnt to go through the expense of raising the watts per gallon and i dont want to add C02. i want this tank to be simple easy and cheap.

i was think along the lines of java moss fern and anbais (SP) elodea.... what else could be plonked in.

also what about grow bags. i was think of putting some plant substrate into a stocking then just planting into that rather then replace or messing around my currunt substarte

Why not just get plant tabs to put under the plants? Then the roots could still spread...
Water sprite is very easy. I am growing it in low light with plain sand and no ferts... and it is growing!

I would go the root tab route myself also, they work pretty well.
