From 40 To 50 Gallon

i have a pair of convicts in a 40 gallon right now i was wondering if once its cycled put these plus a pair of firemouths in a 50 gallon long.

I don't see why not. I'm sure you know how convicts are when they breed though. Why not try a bigger cichlid that can hold it's own. I'm not sure which ones though seeing how it's a 50 gallon and not 55. I'm sure someone else does though.
