What exactly are you asking? Because yes they will eat some algae off plants and stuff, but no they won't like keep the glass clean like a pleco or oto would.

It would depend on the kind of the frog you are talking about. I have African Dwarfs and they eat, Frozen brine shrimp, Freeze dried bloodworms(if no other fish eats it first) and cut up earth worms

If it an ADF, needs to be feed good meaty food, like bloodworm ect, I never realy seen them eat algie.

You can also buy actual frog food from aquarium shops.

They certainly can't survive on a diet of just tank grown algae.
