hi guys, dont really know why im posting this but i've just tried to breed betta's for the first time.

i have separated them off, into a 15g tank, giving them floating plants, somewhere to hide, all the normal recomended things.

i did this last night around 10 pm - me and the wife were deciding to separate them as he was bullying some honey goramai's

this morning we woke up to him vigerously chasing the girls around the tank, and low and behold a bubble nest had appeared.

really i think i am just after a bit of advise and question answering.

so now 1 day on he has built 3 different nests with 1 main one in the middle of the tank, how long do they normally take to spawn and what should i look out for??

any advise will be listened to - so i thank everyone in advance.

Could I ask first how many fish you have in the tank and what sexes.

Males & females should never be kept together unless under strict breeding conditions and then you would only have one female in with the male.

There is info on our website below on breeding, so feel free to have a read up and then ask any questions you may still have.

yeah,,,,,,,,,, he did..

thanks netty, theres only him and one female in the tank as the other female was still very placid and went back into the com tank
