My friend just dropped off his pet frog at my house. Because he hates it. It is an african dwarf frog. I know nothing. The water is all green. Should I change it out? I am clueless. Please respnd.

ADF's are pretty hardy so doing a 100% water change shouldn't do him any harm. What size tank is he in? Is there a filter? What has your friend been feeding him?

your friend hated him, strong words for a harmless little frog, oh well at least he can get looked after properly now. My advice is treat him like a fish, maybe do a full water change if it's that bad, but I'd probably more go along the lines of 75% first time and 25% every day until it's clear. Like megthefish says we do need some more info, like size of tank, filter, etc. and how green is the tank, (can you see the frog?)

He's probably best fed on Bloodworm so try to ensure you purchase that. He wont touch fish flakes...

I can't get live bloodworm where I live so I feed mine on the tetra packs of bloodworm in jelly. You rip the corner off the pack then I put the pack right in front of him and squeeze a bit out, he takes it from the pack directly. I feed him a little teeny bit every day or two. He has grown a lot since i first got him and seems happy. I have him in a 13 gallon tank with a Betta and 4 cory's. I change 25% of the water weekly. I have an Interpet PF1 filter. You'll need sand as a substrate for him if you are having a substrate. HTH! Any questions please ask. I can't believe anyone could say they hate a wee froggy!!
