Freshwater To Saltwater

Im gonna be buying a 30 gal tank to start a saltwater tank. Its a used tank and it had a freshwater set up before. anything i need to worry about switching to saltwater, or is a good clean and scrub all i need to do before i start my process.

If it wasn't your tank, be sure to ask if copper medication was ever added. Copper won't bode well for corals or inverts. Otherwise just scrub it down with some vinegar and water!

The person i am buying it from does not know if any copper medication was ever put in idk why. But just incase there was, is there anyway to solve the problem?

Not really. If there was copper used I would just get a new tank honestly... Copper could have sneaked into the seals and could prevent you from ever keeping corals or invertebrates. There's no way to remove it.
