I have a 10 gallon fish tank with 2 zebra danios a flame tetra a high fin tetra a crab and 2 guppies I have a hang off the back type filter and I was wwondering if I need the aortic pump. I have had the airpump in the water for about 3 months now and I wanna know if the fish have gotten used to the extra agitation and need it or I can just take it out and the filter will be enough.

But have the fish become acostomed to the air pump?
Yes, they probably have, but if you take it out, they'll just as easily become accustomed to not having it.

As long as your filter makes a few ripples on the surface you don't need to worry about aeration, unless you have to use some medications that do reduce oxygen in the water; so keep it spare in case you ever need it.

I feel I ought to say, are you aware your stocking is quite poor?
