I just planted the tank 3 days ago with some java fern, water sprite, cambomba, and anarchis. The plants are growing new stems and discarding the dead stuff, Ive been netting/vacuuming out the dead stuff and but its hard with all the fry and i just seem to make it worse. Is there anything I could put in to help a little, that wont kill the live plants or the guppy fry (they are the only fish i have. so they need to live, there are about 30-40 fry)... I was thinking snails but i don't want them to breed and take over, and it seems most eat live plants to, i heard some snails eat fish while they sleep. Also ill probably get rid of about half the fry when they grow up, could i just trade/sale them to the pet store for store credit/money?

never mind i found some shrimp that will help and not eat the fry, bamboo and cherry shrimp! ...ghost shrimp eat small fish though.

Bamboo shrimp wont eat dead leaves, and Ghost shrimp wont eat small fish (as long as they are alive)
