i wanna get some small crabs they seem kool and they cud clean my tank the only owrry i have is will it atk and eat my pleco?? i got a small pleco 2 inch longs

First off, I've read somewhere that it is not a good idea to keep fiddlers with bottum dwellers because they will catch them with their claws. Not really a threat of being eaten by them though but its possible. Another thing to take into consideration is...Do you have a way the crabs can get out of the water? By this I mean is there like an island or something in your tank for them to climb up on so they can be completely out of the water? If not crabs are not suited for your tank. Another ditterent would be that the crabs and plec will not go together. Hope this helped :)

Crayfish will nip fins and eat fish up, but freshwater crabs, I doubt it. I had 2 fiddler crabs in my tank and they never messed with my pleco.

I would say the crab would eventually claw the pleco perhaps leading to it's death then the crab would eat it...

the crab would eat the pleco when it dies otherwise they should be fine together

from my experience this is the way things turn out. lol but i have a Cray in too and have no problems there ATM.

they do need land though, and if not a brackish tank, a brackish pool to sit in. they are very good at escape, so you need a secure lid.

They're not really suitable for standard tanks, compatability aside, they need a land area and, reportedly, do best in brackish water.
