Fresh Water Crayfish

i need some advice on my freshwater crayfish he is in a 30"x15"x12" tank with a fluval 3plus and 2" of gravel and a plastic log for hm to hide in,he is fed on catfish sinking pellets,water changed every 2 weeks and filter cleaned in tank water,tank is near a window about 2-3 foot away.the problem is that there is a large buid up of algae on the glass when i clean it off it grows back within 3-4 days can anyone give me some advice on how to reduce this annoying growth.thanks

Move the tank to darker room. Keep away from light, and no algae will grow. Don't bother with algae eating fish, as they won't last with crayfish as their tank mate.
