Hey all,
I have a fickle little tiger swordtail who loves bloodworms but refuses to eat his flakes. I know a varied diet is important so i decided to pick up some freezed dried krill to see if maybe he would like that. I havent tried it yeyt but i was just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and tried the krill? If there are any other suggestions for feeding, that isnt live (i dont mind frozen or anything, just not live) for feeding picky fish? thanks a lot.

Drew

p.s. i realize sometimes live foods are absolutelty necessary such as in the case of fry etc. I just really dont like using live food when unnecessary and want to make sure you guys know i understand sometimes it is essential. thank you :good:

Most of my fish will eat Krill.... I have a small bottle of the freeze-dried stuff and dish it out occasionally as a treat

If he eats freeze dried bloodworms, use bloodworm particles to mix in with the flakes. This should make them smell wormy. of course he thinks

I use frozen and freeze dried for some reason my fish prefer the freeze dried over the frozen krill, but they like all the other frozen foods I give them.
Feed tublilex freeze dried as well as won't risk frozen or live.

Great idea! He does eat freeze dried bloodworms, i just never thought of mixing the two! It is such a big tank sometimes it is hard to get him to find the food before it gets tossed around the tank then eventually sinks to the bottom, that is my only worry about mixing the two. Oh well, i guess i will just have to give it a try. Thanks everyone!
