Free Fall Brown Apple Snails....sorry Stunt Snails

They go all the way to the top of the tank and then....they just let go .......They float around the tank and gently come down to the bottom we have a deep tank 24" so plenty of time to float around and down...they even "Jump" off my tall bits of bog wood.

Is this normal behaviour? its only the brown ones that do this the golden ones stay firmly attached to somthing at all times

Maybe the brown ones are stunt snails

Does anyone else have this happen with their snails?

Hi,

All mine do it except the spixis and they spend most of their time on the plants I have a few different colours they race each other up the front of the glass then let go.

Ok ladies and gents I think that means we have a Snail Olympics on our hands

If they can have Syncronised Swimming in the Olympics I dont see why we cant have snail jumping, Snail Bungy and free fall...they should get marks for Artistic mertit
