So I normally count the fry a few times a day. I had 10 and I counted last night a couple times and only counted 9 and again only 9 this morning. So as I changed there water and swished the filter in the water I took out. The fry came out into the bowl and the poor baby is suffering still moving around a little. But now I'm scared to turn the filter on in fear of the other babies being sucked up???? Any advice

put a piece of panty hose or other material of that type around the intake of the filter to prevent any other fry from getting sucked up

Ok thank you.
Also, the filter sponges used in some filters works well to. I cut a hole in one and covered the filter inlet for my betta tank. I also did the same thing for my fry tank. I still lost 2 that were determined to burrow into the sponge, but you know, its survival of the fittest for a reason in that case lol.

Ya now I'm only counting 8. But I didn't find it in the filter. Its jus gone lol
Sometimes they will hide in small opening in the gravel. I wouldn't be able to find any of mine at time, and I have 24 lil guys in the tank. They would burrow into the gravel and stuff.
