Ok so i woke up today and went to feed my fish ,
and i noticed that my tropical tank with my guppies and dinos in had 2 missing ,
Now i realy have no idea were one has gone but one was found under a orniment,

this is my orniment http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/807/img0248n.jpg/ and this is also the inside if this helps http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/215/img0249v.jpg/ , i feel that it might be this because i had 2 goldfish die in it.

Should i do a 25% water change because one has died and maybe ate one? thanks

The tempreture is 26'C 75ltr.

Thanks again , and also this is a incredible site.

I found when I had a sick platy he just hid out in my ornament. I don't think it's that. I think when they are ill they just hide away.

Have you got a test kit and tested your water? You need to do that really and let us know the results. Is your tank fully cycled?

Hi and thanks for your reply ,

Yes the tank has fully cycled.

had a water test at a fish expert shop (VISCUM Doncaster) and all they sead was its ready for new fish to be introduced

But too be fair the fish are all getting along now , i have done a 25% water change after they died and added some more "Safe start" and obviously tap water conditioner.

Lets hope they are all ok.

You should still get your own test kit and test on a regular basis really. Water can change

We have often been amazed at what a local fish shop will call acceptable water conditions. Do you have the actual numbers or just their assurances that things are OK? Without the actual numbers, we really cannot judge the advice you have been given but I have found my own fish shop is less than forthcoming if things in my tank are amiss. Be careful calling any tank fully cycled just because the fish shop says the water is fine. Tap water with no cycle whatsoever will give great readings in most cases. If you simply fill a tank and let it run a day or two, that is what you are measuring.
