Found!: Long Finned Black Widow Tetras

Hi,

I'm looking for some long finned black widow tetras to add to my community tank. I live near Selby in North Yorkshire but am happy to pay postage too.

But ranchau aquatics in selby sometimes have them. Its on 5 brook street. Good shop.

Yes, all my fish so far have come from Ranchu, I've had no problems and Alan is really helpful.

He had some large long finned black widow tetras in a month or so ago but they've all gone now. Ah well, I'll keep my eyes open.

Whereabouts are you near Selby? We're in Thorpe Willoughby.

Thanks, I haven't been there yet, I'll have a look, not sure where Featherstone is but I'll put it in the AA website and get directions - something to look forward to this weekend!

I found their website but there is no mention of tropical fish. Do they have a good section? Will try and take a trip over there this weekend.

I'm in Whitley. If you ask alan to get the fish you want, he can usually have them in for you in a weeks time. He's closed on tuesday so I presume thats when he gets his fish, so if you ask him at the weekend he could probably have them in for you on wednesday. I think it's a much nicer shop than pets at home, and the fish are much healthier. Very nice shop.

I've been down to Ranchu today and he had black widow tetras in! They were a good size too. I've asked him to reserve them for me til next week, as I bought a paradise fish for my 180 litre tank and 2 rams for my 125 litre tank. I asked him about rams a few weeks ago so am really pleased he got hold of some. He had some great fish in, including rope fish, and a peacock spiny eel. Also some amazing red crabs, a couple of firemouths. Could have bought the whole shop! Lovely small red tailed black sharks too.
