I found a deal on a 37 G today in the local paper, it comes with all acessories and stand :) still waitng for a return call

If I were to just move my two well established filters from my 20g to it and the Decor, is there any concern with cycling? any other problems I should be aware of?

current readings are all nill for amonia nitrite and nitrate, been running for 4 months now

what I'd like to do is move my community to a bigger tank.

move my DP to where the community is and add a few friends

and set the 6 gallon aside

Thanks in advance

If you move the filter media, gravel, and some of the water from your other tanks into your larger tank, you probably dont need to cycle it. Although, dont fully stock the tank at first, do it overtime.

forgot to mention these two filtes are penguin 150 bio-wheels if that leads to any answeres anyone has

ok, so if I'm slowly stocking the new tank, if i actually get it, I would need to keep at least one of my filters running in the 20g, to keep that under control.

also as my gauramis neons and otos are a more fragile species, I guess adding the cories first would be my best bet, would this be enough ammmonia production to not starve the bacteria?

because clorine is bad for bacteria, would it be best to run one power flter without the media and treat it with a clorine remover for a day?

lol ok instead of the 37, I found a tank a little further away, but a 45G full setup with stand using craiglist. its a little more ($225) but probably worth it.

I'm most likely going to get it. its 4ft long. I get to stop by tommarow to check it out.

he also has someother goodies

need to sale all of my fish tanks:

10gal aquarium (tank only) $10
10gal aquarium, tank, filter, lights, etc. $25
20gal aquarium, tank only $15 (has some paint on it; easily removed)
45gal aquarium, tank, wood stand, lights, filters, etc. $200
55gal aquarium, tank, wood stand, lights, filters, etc. $225
55gal aquarium, acrylic, tank, wood stand, lights, filters, etc. $250
185gal aquarium, tank, wood stand, hood, lights, homemade wet/dry (needs some more glue on drip tray) $900

We also have around $200 worth of plants that we've grown in the 55's and 185, drifwood, and some fish: a shovelnosed catfish (1ft long) and guppies/platys (his food), glass catfish (around 2-3in long), 2 (1ft long) plecos, a 4 in pleco, cory cats (2) and 2 bala sharks. I would prefer the shovelnosed to go with his tank, the 185, but it isn't necessary. The plants are free with the tanks. :) So are the fish.
