This morning as I was feeding the fish, I noticed 1 lil guy swimming so I put him in with the other fry that are almost a month old, I thought I'd look for more and low and behold another fry!
So I now have 2 baby fry that are a couple hours old! :)
They're see-thru color and extremely small, I thought it was my guppy but she still has the gravid spot.
I'll get some pics when they're a lil bigger! :) (as they're with the other fry, it's kinda hard to get pics right now)

Gravid spots aren't a real good indicator. Is she thinner than she was?

Hi One thing that I notice when my Female Guppies have given birth is that they look empty (so to speak) The Gravid Spot is still there but on either side they do not look so black (dark). my partner puts it this way. "looks like the barrels are empty". It can be difficult to recognise as some Guppies appear quite rounded all of the time. but that is one way we were able to tell when we first started out with Guppies.

Hope this makes sense.

awww brilliant!

what do they look like?

if they have big heads and eyes then they will be guppy fry lol

I have a batch of about 40 or so born this time last Sunday. I witnessed quite a few being born (my first time). I noticed that they seemed to be born in pairs (i.e. 2 popped out one after the other) The little Fry then proceeded to sit on top of their mum for a short while. I really missed a beautiful photo opportunity, as one of the little fry peered in my direction with his 2 big black eyes, before swimming up to the surface to join the rest.

When first born they do look like they have big heads and eyes. now at one week old they have already grown quite a bit, and are more in proportion, I just tried to take some pics for you, but my Digital Camera is broken, and the phone pics just haven't come out well.

I just did a quick search though and here is a link http://www.breeding-guppies.com/images/swo...reeding-fry.jpg

:good:

Hi! ya, they're guppy fry then, the dad is all yellow with weird stripey patterns and the mom has a yellow tail :)
The mom didnt even look pregnant though, but when I think about it march 17th is the last time she had babies, so is that right? 3 weeks or so? These guys are ALOT smaller than the other lil guppy when it was born...

Here's some pics of em, they're a lil hard to see. hehe

I just took the pics 5 minutes ago,
