so now they had a 24 hours of light day

it has:
lots of plants
bristlenoses
rummy noses
angels
dwarf gouramis
corys
kuhlis

can anyone please tell me what are the Consequences ? cheers :good: :fish:

i leave my tank light on all the time and nothin goes wrong so the consequences are :band: non

how do the fish sleep then?

lights are supposed to be left on for 6 to 12 hours a day

Depends what you mean as lights, Bright full power? Then yes there are concequences like the possible build up of algae. But if t was just a one of it should be fine, maybe you could leave them off for today and resume normal service tomorrow?

My 60L tank light is always on but its only bright for 8 hours the rest is a blue light designed to mimic moon light on the water.

yeh i left the sunlight mimic tube on at full power

the fish seem more inactive than usual

I have accidentally knocked my timers before in the past and put them on the overide setting which meant that the lights did not turn off. This was not noticed until the following morning when I turned them back to the timer setting. It didn't appear to have any negative effects to the tank or fish as a whole but would no doubt cause stress to the fish if it was over a longer period of days.

I would suggest you invest in a timer for your lights as fish and plants prefer a bit of consistency. I have mine come on around 3pm and off around 11 pm which is ample light for the plants (which are the only thing that actually need the light) and I get to view my fish all evening.

Regards,

Mark
