For those of you who keep PMing me asking if my bettas came, they did not.
I paid the guy to ship them Overnight, but thats not what he did. He shipped them USPS and they're still in MO, no idea how long it'll take for them to get here.
I told him very, very spicifically that the best day for me would be on Thursday, as I got off at noon.
I paid $25 for them to be shipped overnight. I feel jipped. It costs what, $8 to ship USPS? :grr: :grr:

I think he knew this would make me very mad, because he just recently (within the last 30 minutes) told me he included another sibling pair, so I now have 2 males, 2 females instead of just one pair.

I don't. Maybe Saturday, maybe Monday.
If the bettas last till monday :-(

And I'd assume so. Maybe not seperate boxes, but seperate bags for sure. It's really dark in those boxes, so they can't see eachother...

Sucks to here that Ethos, but at least you got another free pair :)
The Betta's will survive for sure so you don't have to worry about that, he probably bagged them so they have alot more air then water to breath from

I wouldn't be too worried about them not surviving, unless they were not packaged properly. I got 5 bettas from synnir shipped right before rita and didn't get them till around a month later and they were all alive suprisingly.
But about the shipping part it does seem a little messed up.

It doesn't matter to me as much that they won't be here right away, more just that he got me to pay for something he didn't get me!

Finally you give us an update on your bettas. Well hope they come soon before it gets too cold, im not helping am I :X . Well I'm sure they will come soon  .

Congrads on the Double Pair...

Oh thanks! I didn't even think about them freezing! Its about 16F outside...I hope that heat pack stays....well, heated. :/
Hmhmmh...

The only probelm with the double pair is that I don't have room to properly house all of them!! :oh:

Well you have a couple days to get to your lps to get some 1g's or if you can't get to your lps go to walmart or something and get some tupper ware containers to put them in.

I think there was a problem in communication... He didn't ship them overnight, he probably shipped them USPS Express, which is usually overnight. It does take 2 days for some places though, and if they were indeed shipped Express, they are guaranteed to arrive tomorrow or you get your shipping money back. Express shipping is $18, but when you consider packaging cost $25 sounds about right.

EDIT: Overnight shipping with UPS (Fedex doesn't accept live fish without official permission) would have cost you nearly $40... USPS sounds like a better deal now, huh? :p

Well you can sell the other pair to someone on here. Its better for you then you can reuse the box the guy gave you. :hey: .

Synirr: Not if they arrive DOA. :/

Arrowhead: I'll keep em, I'll just need to divide.
But I don't really know if I'll get all the bettas alive!

I tracked it, and even right now its still in a warehouse in MO.
Its been there since 2:08 Yesterday :/

Keep positive! I know I'd be frustrated too. . . . I mean we all love bettas and to put a great deal of $$$ out for them & they might arrive DOA would set me off.

Keep us posted! :D

Delivery's often are slow, mainly the releasing part... seen sets which were released after seven days. Wuv's month is probably the limit, but a week even in a small plastic bag should be fine.

Not saying though that I would not be irked myself. I figure you wanted overnight delivery too, and were willing to pay the premium price since you want the fish to spend as little time in transit as possible. Good fishkeeper :D

Keep your fingers crossed and a small prayer would not hurt too. Am sure they will arrive just fine.

I'd say they should be fine, considering how long some bettas are left in half filled cups with no air holes, and still manage to be cute enough to be bought by someone on here :)
