I`ve found them to be very peaceful. One of the Galaxy Rasbs I have with the Emeralds in my shrimp tank decided to have a peck at one of my adult shrimps (which is quite funny considering the shrimps are actually bigger then them), but I`ve never seen the Emeralds come close to the same behaviour. They all just completely chill with each other.
They are lovely little fish

I've got to say that the genuine picture of the fish makes them look very washed out. Fair enough if the fish are stressed, but presumably like yours EliseW they've been in the guys tank for awhile so should have coloured up....

Are yours from that seller EliseW? I'm seriously debating getting a group for the 35l and making it a species tank just for them.

To be honest I think they were quite pale due to being stressed, bearing in mind they had travelled from 4.30pm the previous day before I received them at approx 1pm, then they were put into a tank that already had some chilli rasbs. I still think they`re quite colourful considering though.
The mobile phone camera doesn`t really do them justice to be fair.
I`ll try and get another pic now that they`re more settled but they zip about so much that it`s difficult to get a clear pic.

I got my Emeralds from Kesgrave Tropicals along with the Chilli Rasbs. I`ve also had 2 bn plecs from the same guy and they`re doing really well, in fact all of the fish from him have done well so far

No no, I mean yours ARE a nice colour. But the actual picture of the fish from the seller that you posted a link too are very pale.
What I'm saying is, is that I'd expected fish that have just been shipped to be pale. But surely his fish have been in that tank for quite some time before he took the picture... so I can't see any valid reason they'd be pale unless they were ill or poor quality.

Plus you wouldn't put that picture up if you had a better one would you... I mean he IS trying to sell them afterall.

you might be giving the persons sales aqumim more credit than it's worth.

Ahhh right, gotcha! (Sorry blonde moment)

I still think mine were quite pale so I guess now they`ve coloured up you can imagine how much brighter the colouring is.

If you have a look at kesgravetropicals on ebay you may find that his Emeralds don`t look especially colourful in the pic he uses, I don`t know this other seller as I`ve never bought from him but I personally wouldn`t object to buying from him based on his pic. I guess it`s just personal choice

The second pic on his listing could well be a female as they`re naturally paler than the males. Maybe send him a msg and ask?
