Nice fish, great looking tank too :)

*off to dream of having a house big enough to fit a big enough tank for Oscars*

someone had to do it lol! ;)

minx - you dont need a big house trust me! i live in a tiny two bedroom apartment, that tank takes up over half our living space, but its well worth it!

took a bit of work but got there in the end, im chuffed to bits! people come now just to see the fish lol!

Well my plan is within the year to replace two tanks, the 55g and the 50g, with a huge 6ft Rena (approx 160 gallons)!!!!!! Then with a move around of fish, hopefully have one Oscar with a few tank mates - well thats the plan.

oooohh i forgot.. thankyou for the pics, :)

wish my house wasnt made of balsa wood (lol) then i could have a nice 8ft across the back wall in my bedroom insted of the silly biorbs and weeny tanks, i would love to have oscars up there to watch when im trying to get to sleep :)

this place is all open plan, so from where we sleep, we can see down the corridor, straight at the tank, great spot to watch, and the soft humming of the water/filter sends me straight off to sleep!

There is your first problem right there dont waste your money on a rena tank yes they look nice but you can get a bigger better looking custom tank made to how you want it for cheaper trust me. Look:

Rena Aqualife 200 x 50 Classic Beech Tropical Aquarium and Cabinet £970 with eqiupment

ND Aquatics 6x2x2 180g tank in beech £544 with out equipment but this way you can choose what you want and its wider meaning better stocking options.

Here is an example of ND`s work these are the people who built my tank obviously you can have what ever wood you want.

edit: BTW £970 for a rena ND made my 96x32x31 in my house in thicker glass due to added width and height for £1050 mine is 412g.

that first picture looks like a kinda reflection, i had to take a second look to make sure it wasnt!

yeh they do that sometimes, mirroring each others movements, its like a dance, then they snuggle up close again and looks like they kiss (mouth by mouth) im beginning to think they are a couple!
