I was at Lake forest hospital in Illinois(visiting), and they have I'd guess a 33g hex, and they had 3 longfin leopard Danios, male betta, 1 pleco, 2 barbs of some sort, and one fish, don't know what it was, but it was liuke a betta, but its fins were always out and it was black and silver and it was a bit taller. both the Betta and the silver and black fish' fins were chewed up really badly, I'd guess by the Danios or Barbs, they need help picking out their fish for next time. I feel sorry for the betta, it was chewed up soooooooooooooooooooo bad :(

yeah i have seen a tank in a hospital before. it was about 15-20gallons and from far away it looked alright...until i got close to it. it had about 5 or 6 full grown bristlenoses and at least 30 smaller ones. and it had two massive rainbowfish of some sort and about two neon tetras, both of which did not look healthy at all  . its very sad

see, they have wonderful care for patients, so why not for fish, the tank was very well maintained, clean and all, but the silver/black fish and the Betta were torn up bad

i think they should just not have fish and continue focusing all their attention on patients. thats what a hospital is for afterall. or they could at least employ someone to come into the hospital and look after the tank.

Hey, offer to give them a hand with the tank. Might make some connections, leading to a job for you or a pal int the hospital. Hospitals have good benefits, & pay pretty decent as well.

I hate hospitals. Or maybe I just hate the evil nurses.....

My Dr.'s office (in a hospital community; all run by the same hospital) has a tall hex tank, but it always looks really nice. Upon closer inspection, I noticed a sticker that says a company comes in to take care of the fish. The hospital doesn't do it.

Not as bad as the ones I saw in a chinese restaurant.
It had 2 aquariums: 33g tall hex and a 125g bow front

33g: 12 assorted goldfish (3"- 5")

125g: 1 arowana (14"), 6 parrot fish, 3 oscars (8"-10"), 4 assorted large cichlids(6"- 10"), 1 huge-ass gourami(8"), 3 plecos (7"- 10")

Both have really dirty water.

if you want free tanks, threaten that if they don't take better care of their fish u will confiscate their tanks and fish
