just wondering what you guys are using for food. obviosly it changes with species. i like simuating natural stuff so with community i use pellets plus as with all my fish once a month 1-2 jumbo shrimp peeled and uncooked. really helps with color. (so does using foil torn and over the light to darken/simulate sunlight) i usually put some annachris for munchies. chichleds i also add in crickets and once in a while some gut loaded feeders (that i keep in seperate tanks for a week to delouce before using) my pirahna got feeders, shrimp, mice, frogs. when i sold them back to the place i got them (bought 1.5 inches returned 1lb) the guy was amazed at how sweet they looked he kept them himself.

so how far do you guys go for your fish?

well i giv my lot frozen bloodworn, dafnia, fresh peas, fish flake, cucumber and they all love fresh chicken

The corys get catfish tablets, and TetraDelica jellied bloodworm, brine shrimp or daphnia twice a week.

The guppies, platies and poeciliopsis get flakes, the jellied stuff as above, and veggies (peas, broad beans, sprouts, spinach, broccoli etc) 3 times a week.

The bristlenoses get catfish tablets, as much of the jellied stuff+ general veggies as reaches the bottom, plus a fairly constant supply of cucumber, courgette or lettuce.

The phallichthys tico eat live daphnia and algae/infusoria from the tank.
