Hi
My 6 Discus are more interested in my bristlenose pairs sinking algae discs rather than eating there flake and tetra bit. When i put the food in discus are all over it but once the i put in tthe algae discs, the discus chase off the bristlenose and fight over the discs. Im afraid the brislenose might starve to death. What should i do
Thanks Manmeet

You can try dropping food for the bristlenose after lights out. If they still go for it, get an opaque tube and drop the food through it right to the bottom. If they don't see it falling, they might not take note and go for it.

that wouldn't turn out as effective as it sounds. i face the same problems with my angels over my cories' sinking discs. what i do really is (by hand) place the discs under rocks or deco where shaped fishes like angels and discus can't get to. that does not solve the problem entirely but it helps abit. i'm still looking for better solutions.

Feed the plec some wafers after lights off. Feed fresh veg like corgette during the day if you like, discus shouldnt want that. Continue to drop plec wafers for the discus, good addition to their diet. Nice looking fish btw.
