well. i bought some of this betta food (below) which apparantly is the right food to feed them but my figheter would seem to touch it  also tried giving him little pellet balls and normal flake (does eat some of that but not much) leaves the balls.

also am i best feeding him with the filter turned off? as the flow of water make the food move around n he has to chase the food about! when he does go for some! usually just ends up leaving it.

whats the best stuff to feed the fish and the best way and times :good: im new to betta keeping and just after tips etc..

hpw long have you had him? sometimes it takes the ma while to get there appitite back after moving to there new home, give him a few days :good: took mine a week and a half before he ate i was getting so worried

4days now! when i got him he'd just lie there and not move but now he swims about and flares quite abit also, he likes swimming around the top of the tank but doesnt really eat much still!

so should i just keep puttin that food above in, or get him used to somethig better?

i tried every form of fish food i had in the house, i was ready to go out buy some blood worm, then i remembered i had another food but none of the other fish liked it, so i gave it a try and now he won't stop eating it  yes i'd turn the filter off when feeding too :good:

think ill keep him on the food ive got then till he gets used to it! and give him the occasionaly treat

would he eat bread?

No bread! Bread will only mess up your water. I give mine a frozen pea that has been heated in water and then peeled or shelled. I have one that thinks he can stuff a piece as big as his head in his mouth, another one that attacks it. I feed them each a pea on saturdays, including the fish in my community tank. What they don't eat my bird gets

is that betta stuff pink flakes ?my fish all turned their noses up at it....dont even know where it is at the moment....mine love the pellets apart from one...always one... :shout:

he's eating then pink flakes now  was very hungry last night! fed him quite abit n even though it took some time he wolfed it all down! alot better feeding with the filter off
