twinklecaz yours should be sufficient for your tank easily take it apart and give it a good clean.
sorry to hijack the post but twinkle have you tried putting filter floss in your filter. it will really polish your water and remove and bits in the water. not matter how small. Get some cusion filling from Dunelm and stuff in the the biomax chamber. Rinse it 1st thotwinklecaz yours should be sufficient for your tank easily take it apart and give it a good clean.
Done it before, though I might try again tonight. I think a lot of the prob is there's a lot of chalk in our water.
and moonlights rock. I got some a few weeks ago and love them! On mine you can change the brightness. I just leave them on all the time coz I have it so dim that you can't see it when the main light is on.
Just wondered whether those who use this filter leave the poly/carbon pad in or remove it and just replace with another sponge pad. I have just been reading an article about very soft water with low ph which is the case with my tank and it says the bacteria struggle to survive at such a low ph and that the carbon will help remove the ammonia. Anyone have any views on this?
