Fluval Substrate

Just a few questions:

1.I have 1 8kg of fluval shrimp stratum and 1 8kg bag of normal fluval stratum, would i be able to put the normal one underneath and the shrimp layered on top if im going to be planting plants or would they mix and get ruined??

2.do they need to be soaked to absorb water before the tank is filled so that they dont float away becuase ive heard theyre quite light.

is there a better way of using the substrates, e.g. putting most of the shrimp substrate in one corner as an area for the shrimp (i am going to be having cherry shrimp as well as some other fish).

Arent you meant to put them straight in the tank from the bag because they have some sort of conditioner in them?

What about dust and other nasties from the manufacturing process?

iit says to rinse them becuase they are covered in dust and the tank goes really murky and brown for weeks if you dont

It's the caribsea that comes with liquid in the bag
