Hi all :)

So I have had a bit of a problem with my plants in my tank which is a Fluval Roma 125. I have got co2 and feeding ferts but after doing a bit of digging I have heard that maybe my lights just aren't up to the task, the reportadly produce 1.2 watts per gallon which just doesn't seem to be enough to make my plants flourish! Has anyone got any suggestions on how I can improve this at all? Whether I need new lights or hood etc?

Ri-Za, I have found it best to get plants that my lighting can support. When I try to go in the other direction, things can get expensive fast. At 1.2 WPG you should be able to grow any of the low light plants with no trouble and even some of the medium light plants. If you want to upgrade the lighting it can be done. Light kits are often available for T-5HO lighting but those mean lots more power for a given tank size. In the US there are plenty of on-line sites where you can buy a lighting upgrade but those things are expensive for the equipment or kit and will require a lot more power than your original equipment lighting once the improved lighting is installed. I assume the same will apply in other places but I have no experience with another country's options.
