Fluval Profile 1000

Hi All.

I'm looking to start up in the world of Tropical fish keeping. I am thinking of getting a Fluval profile 1000, anyone got any views on this tank to help me decide before I part with my money?

i quite like them, rather modern looking, but also very expensive, for the £450 you spend on one, you could buy a similar size 2nd hand on eBay and thenhave £200 left over to stock it with fish.

Are you going to have it as a proper planted aquarium or just a regular fish tank. My one regret, even though I love the aquience range like mine, is that I do not have a rimless tank,

Thanks for replying. I am going to go for a planted tank. Today I've seen the Fluval Roma 240 for £100 less and its a very nice looking tank. It's longer than the studio but not as deep and comes with T8's. So I've got some more thinking to do!!!
