Wahay got my fluval fx5 all set up now......how easy is it to set up eh,worst part was cutting the bottom of the cuboard to house the huge filter....its so easy to set up following there dvd....love the way in purges the water turns self of and on again<sooo quite.....i filled it up with 8 litres of gunk from my exsisting filter<freshly squeezed gunk.......and when i turned it one it was like a smoke machine in a club, you could not see on thing at all inside the tank, thought oppps ive messed this one up.....but in 30 mins the water was crystal clear<turned other filters off at this time,so it did all that its self....anyhow it seems to be working great...

Awesome! :good: I definately want to get one of those when I upgrade tanks again. Keep us updated on how it works over the long run.

I got a FX5 for my newly set up 500 litres tank (marine) - -they are really cool and mine has worked a treat over the last few weeks. I wondered how loud it would be and once you shut the cupboard door you can't hear it. I would reccommend them to anyone (but they are a beast).

yes will certainly keep you posted if you like.... :good:
flagfin<not sure whats happened with yours, mine is silent even with my head in the cuboard.......great peices of machinery

yep and lucky for me the 24hour purge should be 4pm...here mark the flow should it be fast,i imagine it should be slowish as its got that two way direction thing,,,,if i block one off,it shots out the other1

Yeah it will do as its not 2 holes its 1 pipe that divides into the 2 holes is you get me.
